Hello, my name is Lisa, and I am the founder of Achieving Excellence. Thank you for joining me on this journey! You might wonder why I chose this name. The inspiration comes from one of my favorite quotes:

“Excellence is the result of caring more than others think is wise; risking more than others think is safe. Dreaming more than others think is practical and expecting more than others think is possible.”

For me, excellence is not about perfection, position, or performance. It begins with character—how we live, how we lead, and how we treat others. It is about discovering what matters most, recognizing our God-given worth and gifts, and learning to live with purpose and lead with grace.

My Journey

Life is a journey filled with experiences, relationships, challenges, and growth. My own journey has included meaningful friendships, professional experiences, unexpected turns, and heartbreaking losses.

For much of my life, I believed I was in control. I allowed the world's standards to define success and, at times, my own worth. From the outside, I appeared successful and happy, but inside I felt unsettled and continued searching for something more.

The death of my father became a profound turning point. Walking alongside him during his final days opened my eyes to life in a new way. In the midst of grief and uncertainty, I began to let go of my need to control everything and make room for God to lead.

Through that experience, and through many seasons since, I have come to understand that growth doesn't always happen when life goes according to plan. Sometimes it happens when we are stretched, uncertain, disappointed, or simply asking, What now?

Those experiences deepened my faith and strengthened my desire to walk alongside others as they navigate their own journeys.

Creating Space to Listen, Discover, Grow, and Lead

Today, I serve as a Spiritual Life & Leadership Coach, offering a distinctly Christian perspective in conversations about purpose, leadership, relationships, and life's difficult seasons.

I work with people who want to grow—not because they have everything figured out, but because they recognize there is more to discover. Some are leading organizations, ministries, or teams. Others are sensing a call to lead or simply trying to understand what comes next in their own lives.

Coaching creates a supportive space to slow down, listen, reflect, and discover what may be getting in the way of meaningful growth. Together, we can explore your strengths, values, relationships, goals, challenges, and the possibilities ahead.

Biography

Lisa Copeland is a Life & Leadership Coach who offers a distinctly Christian perspective in conversations about purpose, leadership, relationships, and life's difficult seasons.

With a background spanning business, leadership, ministry, coaching, and entrepreneurship, Lisa brings a broad perspective to her work. She has experience leading teams and developing leaders in corporations, small businesses, nonprofits, and ministry settings. For over a decade, she has served as a Faith Journey Director, leading teams, developing leaders, and creating opportunities for people to grow in faith and connection.

A Perspective on Leadership

Lisa believes that great leadership begins from the inside out. Great leaders inspire others not simply through what they accomplish, but through how they live and how they treat others. At their core, they embody humility, integrity, and grace, grounded in love, respect, vulnerability, and trust. They take risks and make sacrifices so that others may thrive.

Her approach to leadership begins with a daily renewal of the mind and a life lived from a place of grace. By intentionally cultivating character, patience, self-control, and vision, leaders create opportunities for others to see new possibilities.

Lisa's approach emphasizes looking up for guidance, looking out for others, and moving forward with purpose—a perspective that fosters meaningful growth and lasting transformation in both personal and professional life. Grounded in her Christian faith, she believes the essence of great leadership is rooted in the heart of the ultimate leader, Jesus Christ, who said, “Come, follow me.”

Experience and Credentials

Lisa holds an MA in Organizational Leadership and a BA in Business. She is a certified Executive Coach and Consultant through Concordia University Irvine/Townsend Institute, a certified Prepare/Enrich Facilitator, a Strengths Champion Coach, and a Transformation Life Coach. She has also completed Financial Coach Master Training with the Ramsey Solutions team.

In addition to her coaching education and certifications, Lisa has received extensive training as a Stephen Minister and Stephen Leader. Graduate coursework at the Institute of Lutheran Theology has further strengthened her biblical and ministry leadership foundation.

Lisa continues to invest in professional development through coaching education, continuing education, and leadership development, believing that effective leaders and coaches remain committed to their own growth.

Lisa created Transformational Conversations, group experiences designed to provide interactive opportunities for reflection, connection, and growth. These conversations explore topics that matter in life, relationships, faith, and leadership.

Lisa is also available for speaking engagements, workshops, and retreats, bringing practical insight, leadership experience, encouragement, and a distinctly Christian perspective to groups, ministries, and organizations.
