Hello, my name is Lisa, and I am the founder of Achieving Excellence. Thank you for joining me on this journey! You might wonder why I chose this name. The inspiration comes from one of my favorite quotes:
“Excellence is the result of caring more than others think is wise; risking more than others think is safe. Dreaming more than others think is practical and expecting more than others think is possible.”
Achieving excellence means different things to different people, much like the concept of success. To me, it is a journey toward finding inner peace that keeps us grounded and self-control that allows us to breathe when the world around us feels chaotic.

Life is indeed a journey. Along the way, we encounter various experiences, make friends—some for a lifetime, some for a season, and some for a brief moment. We face challenges and grieve losses. We learn and grow. Every step shapes and forms us. Nothing is coincidental; God is purposeful.
​
My journey has included a variety of experiences, incredible lifelong friends, an abundance of acquaintances, real challenges, and heartbreaking losses. Throughout it all, I believed I was in control, allowing the world's standards to influence my behavior. Although I appeared successful and happy, I felt unsettled and constantly searched for something more.

The first heartbreaking loss I experienced was my dad's passing. Walking alongside him during his final days led to a profound awakening. I began to think differently, view life anew, and see a new world emerge. Everything started to change. God introduced a plot twist in my life, and all my personal and professional experiences began to align in ways I never imagined.
​
Suddenly, I was out of my comfort zone and being stretched in unexpected ways. It was during this stretching and navigating the unknown that the internal wrestling and unsettled feelings began to fade. I started realizing an inner peace I had heard about but never understood. When I stepped aside and allowed God to lead, direction, patience, and self-control began to manifest in my daily life. I discovered a deep desire to help others achieve more than they ever dreamed possible and realize the person God created them to be.

I believe we are all created in the image of God and are His beautiful children, each with unique gifts and talents. You have something special to offer this world because you were created for a unique purpose. I believe we achieve our purpose when rooted in our beliefs. Nothing is coincidental; the people we meet and the opportunities we are granted are all part of God's purposeful plan.

My mission is to help and encourage you to discover your purpose, utilize your gifts and talents, and experience the inner peace that will help you excel beyond your imagination. Achieving excellence means something different to each of us, and my goal is to help you uncover what it means in your life.

Biography

Lisa believes these qualities form the foundation of what great leaders strive to embody in both life and leadership. She emphasizes the power of daily renewal of our minds, which enables us to live and lead in ways that inspire others to pursue similar ideals. By approaching life from a place of grace, leaders create opportunities for others to see new possibilities. This transformational journey is a lifestyle marked by intentionality, patience, and self-control—starting each day with a vision of looking up so we can move forward by looking out.

Passionate about supporting others on their own transformational journey, Lisa has pursued education and certification to equip her in this mission. She is a certified Consultant and Coach through Concordia University Irvine/Townsend Institute, a certified Prepare/Enrich Facilitator, a Strengths Champion Coach, a Transformation Life Coach, and has completed Financial Coach Master Training with the Ramsey Solutions team. Lisa holds an MA in Organizational Leadership and a BA in Business.
In addition to her certifications, Lisa has received extensive training as a Stephen Minister and Stephen Leader. With nearly a decade of experience as a Faith Journey Director, her passion for Christ and sharing His love has led her to further her education by pursuing a Master of Ministry degree through the Institute of Lutheran Theology.

With experience in corporations, small businesses, and non-profits, Lisa has led teams of all sizes across various ministry areas and is a seasoned entrepreneur.
​
Lisa believes true, lasting change begins with a connection between the head and the heart. To this end, she created "Transformational Conversations,” group sessions designed to help individuals grow relationally, spiritually, and professionally, achieving lasting change. Lisa is also available for speaking engagements to share her insights, experience, and faith with larger audiences.
